Business Advice: NRP launches Professional Advisors Panel
With an increasing number of businesses and start-up organisations being established at, or moving to, the Norwich Research Park, the NRP Innovation Centre has launched their Professional Advisors Panel, comprising specialist firms who will be on hand to provide tenants and those considering starting a science related business, with a broad range of free business advice services.
The NRP Innovation Centre is the latest stage of the Norwich Research Park’s development of top quality facilities for start up, spin-off and expanding science and science related businesses. The Professional Advisors Panel extends the range of shared facilities and services offered to businesses and other organisations establishing themselves on the NRP.
The Panel members are drawn from firms specialising in services as diverse as law, finance and accountancy, IT and marketing to intellectual property and innovation. A monthly programme of free to attend presentations and advice clinics kicks off with presentations by Breakwater IT and marketing agency Four on Thursday 24th February. Businesses and organisations currently on or considering moving to the NRP, as well as small and medium sized businesses throughout Norfolk, are invited to attend.
NRP Innovation Centre project co-ordinator, John Irving, said: “There is an increasing number of tenants at the Norwich BioIncubator and the NRP Innovation Centre, as well as spin off businesses from the University of East Anglia, the John Innes Centre, The Genome Analysis Centre, the Institute of Food Research, and other research institutions based on the NRP. Each will be able to benefit from all manner of business advice from Panel members, all of whom are well suited to working closely with the specialist demands of start-up, small and expanding organisations and helping them drive their operations forward.
“We are also happy to welcome businesses not based on the NRP to join the clinics and presentations.”
