High Sheriff of Norfolk visits NRP Innovation Centre

The High Sheriff of Norfolk, Charles Barrett, paid a visit to the NRP Innovation Centre on 16th March 2011, to inspect the facilities available for science businesses.

Mr Barrett, who is approaching the end of his year-long tenure, was keen to learn more about the opportunities for business growth within the county and was given a guided tour of the NRP Innovation Centre by project co-ordinator, John Irving.

The High Sheriff has an ambassadorial role within Norfolk, promoting the county to the business and professional community. He has spent much of his term of office learning about what Norfolk can offer businesses and about the county’s areas of expertise, which, in turn, he is able to share with his wide body of contacts.

John Irving commented: “It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Barrett who showed a keen interest in promoting the Norwich Research Park as one of Europe’s leading centres for research in food, health and environmental sciences.”
